newby -- setting up Intex 12 x 20 oval pool

Hi everyone,

I'm about to start setting up my above ground pool (intex 12 x 20 oval) for the summer. We purchased the pool last year and enjoyed it all summer. Looking forward to another great summer enjoying our pool. Hope to get some insight on here about making it easier to take care of and the best products to use and the like.

Also hope to be able to share advice if there is any help I can give.

Great! You've come to the right place. Your view of the forums as a trial user is pretty limited so log out then read all you can here and at poolsolutions.com. look for the Super Simple method - it's a pretty good simple startup recipe.

Order a Taylor K-2006 or K2006C test kit. it is the single most important tool you can get to make your pool care easier. If you order it through the links in PoolDoc or Watermom's sigs or from the Get the TestKits You Need thread, PoolForum gets some coin to keep the lights on.
