Hello!

There is maybe a 2 1/2 to 3 foot section of my bottom rail that doesn't have the steel wall in it any more. I'm not sure why this happened the ground is worn away a little in that spot so maybe that was it. I was wondering how I go about fixing this. Do I dig out under it a little and try to push it back into it's right spot then tamp ground underneath it to hold it there? Then build the ground back up around that area?

The Wall is just a little tiny bit about the rail, I could ass a picture later on maybe if needed. Anyway I thought I would ask around before I go digging. Really don't want to drain the pool out if I don't have too, liner is 4 or 5 years old and I have head stories about it being super brittle after that length of time.

Thanks for you comments and help in advanced.

Stephen

How far under the pool is the void? What caused the void? Is the pool leaking? Do you have foam cove or was it built up with sand?

Void? Im guessing that you mean earth under the pool that's not there. Its only at the rail it doesn't look like its any farther, fome cove. The base is made of 8" of crusher rock dust compacked.

If you can clean out the channel in the bottom rail and work it back onto the wall, you could tamp more crusher underneath to get the rail back in place. I wouldn't dig for fear of dropping the rail more. Probably should also address whatever cleared it out in the first place. Also some sort of backfill to keep it from happening again.

Good luck, let us know how it's going. Welcome to Pool Forum.
