i have a great white 15 inch navigator with 8 sections 40 inches each. i want to replace it with 25 or 30 feet long hose and i was told i cant. does anybody knows

The manual should tell you, what the limitations are. But, in general, pool cleaners are highly 'tuned'. As a result changing the configuration from what the manufacturer has intended tends to make them work poorly, or even fail completely.
