Can anyone suggest the best way to clean tile above the water line? My tile seems to have the grout "leaking" out a bit, and in the past I've used a hydrochloric acid/water solution. I'm just wondering if there is a better product. The acid does the job, but I'm concerned it may damage the grout.

Also, if anyone can give some insight into why my tile grout does this, I'd appreciate it as well! Thanks.

This year I used a light-duty power washer to clean the tile above the water line. It worked pretty well and sure didn't take long. You could even add clorox to the input of the washer, but I have not tried this.

I have a pool tile scrubber that I got at the pool store. It can attact to a pole but I just use it by hand while I am in the pool. It has a fillable reservoir that release a cleaning solution through the pad and I use a mixture of tile soap from the pool store and muriatic acid in it.
Works like a charm!
