I just purchased a 28' round Sharkline Matrix and I plan on burying it. I do realize that it will void any warranty. I did this with a previous above ground with great success and when I moved after 10 years it was still in great shape. This time around, I would love to do a concrete surround. I have researched quite a bit and have seen it done in photos but I don't know what was used for the backfill or how the concrete was supported. I would truly appreciate any advise from someone who has done this before

I must admit I AM confused. If you're going to the trouble of a concrete surround, why not just put in a steel inground pool?

I also think that's the right question to ask.

The main factor was the cost.a If I had unlimited funds I would have probably had a fiberglass professionally installed. I priced every kit available pretty much. Also, since we are doing the install ourselves, I was not confident that I could get all of the angles, slopes, etc just right. I had a deep end with an expandable liner in my former pool but it wasn't perfect and I decided that if I just stuck with a 54" deep flat bottom I could get it pretty close to perfect.
