we are shopping for an AG pool. We have been looking at the Dough Boy pools. In particular the 18x34. But they come in resin or steel. they also have the "balloon" liner which can allow for the pool to be the standard depth of 4ft or down to 7ft.

But my question is what is the difference between the resin and steel and what are the pros and cons? Why would I choose one over the other?

thanks for any info for first time buyer.

Welcome to the forum! I wish I could help but I can only guess as to the advantages:

Steel would have strength and be impervious to UV breakdown.
Resin should be almost as strong and not rust or discolor.

Some like the balloon liner, others find it unpleasant. I don't know how well they hold up but have not heard negatives about that.

Hopefully people with more experience will chip in.

Thank you for the reply.

If you know why, why do some find the balloon liner unpleasant.

Thanks again.
