My 15 foot round pool has a leaking liner and I didn't really find out till I closed it for the winter. And the cover keeps sinking lower. My are my options.

Drain it, and fix it. Or, try to fix it underwater. You'll get a better result, draining it below the leak.

The products you want are here: http://astore.amazon.com/poolbooks?&node=41
and further instructions are here: http://www.poolforum.com/pf2/showthread.php?13118

Good luck!

I actually would rather replace the liner. So I guess my question is if I drain it ( or let it drain on its own) will the sides hold up over winter, if not what can I do to keep that from happening.

I don't have the experience with AG pool problems . . . OR the details about your pool, to be able to answer your question about the sides holding up. It might be wise, if you're going to replace the liner, let it drain, and shore up the sides, from the inside. You could do so fairly cheaply with some treated 2x4's, galvanized nails, and rebar stakes.

You can stake the verticals like you would a tent, even using tent pegs.
