Aquapure 1400 stopped linking to Aqualink RS8

The system has been running fine for years, all of the sudden the Aquapure stops making chlorine. On the PDA the temp for the pool is not displayed, just a -- and it no longer says Aquapure in the list of things running.

When I open up the panel, I see 00% on the Aquapure LCD display, so the Aqualink is not telling the Aquapure to generate. When I press the test buttons, for temp and salinity on the board, they work fine. Salt at 2.8k and temp at 84 degrees.

I replaced the flow sensor and it still does the same thing. I checked the circuit board with the volt meter as per the troubleshooting manual, all is good. I pressed the reset button on the Aqualink, same thing.

When I remove the 4 conductor wire from the Aquapure to the Aqualink, the Aquapure works fine on it's own. I had to manually raise the generation % and the lights show cell on and flow. I also tested the poles at the cell and am getting 28 DC Volts so I know the Aquapure is all good.

Not sure what else to do, how can I get these linked up again?

thanks!

I'm sorry, but troubleshooting the interface between an Aquapure and the Aqualink is not something many here have experience with. Have you tried calling Zodiac?

Here's a similar thread, with Zodiac's contact info: http://www.poolforum.com/pf2/showthread.php?14854

And, here are the links to the AquaPure and Aqualink:

Get the temp sensor working again. Either you need a new one, or the existing one has lost connection. Chase the wire from the sensor to the outdoor Jandy box, and make sure it is intact (not chewed, cut, or otherwise disconnected).
