I have an inground pool with vinyl liner and Fort Wayne steps, 8 feet wide with 4 treads. Noticed over the last several weeks that water is leaking and finally noticed culprit, our steps are cracked. Verified with dye that water is leaking through steps. I have contacted Latham Pools who owns Fort wayne and am currently awaiting the review and reply.

Thus far, sounds like to best outcome is they replace the steps, which still leaves me with a $3,000 labor bill to have the steps replaced. Rep also mentioned prorating the steps and paying a portion of the step cost, that leaves me paying over $3,000. Seems unreal to me that the steps would crack after only 5 years. Personnaly, I believe the steps should be replaced at no cost and they pay a portion of the labor.

ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE EARLY ON, HOW DID YOU RESOLVE?

THANKS
