Hi,

I'm trying to make sure I build my pool right...my pool guy is trying to nail down the specifics of what I want...so I need your help.

We are building a 20x40 IG liner pool (not sure of gallons). Here is what he is proposing... 30 inch sand filter, 2HP Pump & a booster pump, 2 skimmers, 3 lines reduces to 2 inch pipe. (you should have seen his face when I asked him about the HP and what size pipe he reduced to, & if it was a 2 speed pump-he said he had never had a woman ask him that before). From what I have read this is over kill...so what do you think would be sufficient???

Thanks for the help!!!

Any water features or spa, swimout. I had them put a 500lb filter, 2hp 2pd pump, 2 1/2" piping. I found talking to the installation manager (sales person was no help) they have different packages for different size pools. I told them what min. size pipe and pump I wanted and they came up with the package I have now.
