Metal rim rusting

I am looking to purchase a house with an inground pool. The pool has a vinyl liner in it, above the liner is a metal rim around the pool. This metal rim is rusted very badly most of the way around the pool. Is this a easy fix or not?

Get quotes on the pool repair -- or filling it in professionally -- BEFORE you buy the house.
