Howdy... Got a persistent algae problem I think. I have a 33000 gal in 20x40 vinyl liner pool (IG). I just got the 2006 taylor test kit...(Bad a$$)... And did all the tests. The water is about 95%, just not crystal clear...

Here are the test results:
FC - 6.5
CC - 0.5
PH - 7.5
TA - 110
CH - 200
CYA - 50
Temp - 80
Sat Index - 0.005 (according to the wheel)

I shocked it yesterday. And a quick vacuum, and should be good to swim in over the weekend. gonna be a hot one here, then I plan to go to town during the week to attack the core of the algae...

thanks for any advice in getting rid of the algae.

Dose with bleach to get to +shock+ level on the Best Guess chart found here (http://www.poolsolutions.com/gd/best-guess-swimming-pool-chlorine-chart.html) for your cya level. Keep it at that level until you meet all 3 conditions:
1. No more than 1ppm loss of fc from sundown to sunrise
2. No more than .5ppm cc
3. Clear water
Then hold your fc at +shock+ for one more day. All should be well at that point.
