I've been fighting this brown dust on the bottom. I have vacuumed to waste. I'm convinced it's not organic or algae. I have a Hayward pump & filter with zeolite. Pool frog, pro team supreme in water. The dust gathers in divots on bottom only when pump is circulating. Seems like the filter is putting it in or something. Thoughts and ideas appreciated.

do you ahve metal in the water? i ahve the same problem. mine is borwnish, orangeish, I am on a well with high iron.. it seems to be the oxidized iron. try vacuuming with a filter saver sock, it may catch it.. or add some DE to your filter.. (although the DE Doesn't help me)

According to my pool shop, my water is perfect. I have never been told any problems with metal. I filled with city water. If my filter media is a little too low, could this be the problem?

If you have a PoolFrog, you have metals. Logout of the forum and do a search from the Google Search in PoolDoc's or my posts and read up on PoolFrog. Not something we recommend.
