View Full Version : Having trouble finding a leak in liner

I purchased the dichlor shock from Sam's club this year as to follow the Startup Pool Chemistry for Index Pools.
My question is: Does this need to be stored in a cool dry place as the Chlorine Bleach does so it doesn't loose any potency?

I have a small leak somewhere that I haven't been able to locate as of yet. I found a video online of someone using food coloring and a syringe. I tried that but had no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I thought I found a small pin hole so I patched it but I am still seeing more water. I haven't had much time the last few days, In fact it still isn't done filling but is over half full. I have been adding bleach as directed while filling. Tomorrow I need to upgrade my intake and output holes to be able to receive the new Krystal Clear 633 filter pump. Then I will finish filling and get in and ck my patch job if weather permits.

We're having plenty of rain so that doesn't help trying to locate where the wet is coming from. Plus water travels and it is traveling to a low corner in the back. The front half of the pool plus the back quarter of the circumference is dry underneath (before the rain) when I stick my foot under the liner so I have it at least pinpointed to 1/4 of the back of the pool, possibly from the middle, possibly a seam that just doesn't like to lay flat.

So glad it's swimming season again. I just wish life would slow down a bit so I had more time to enjoy it instead of feeling pressure to get everything done little by little a few hours a day. ;)

RedwingT,
I renamed your thread to try and get more help for you and moved it into a different section of the forum. Hopefully, this will help you get the attention of someone who may have a suggestion for you.

Good luck.
