First time opening pool, I found 3 drain plugs in basket in pump and 2 o-rings taped inside the pump timer. I figured out where the 3 plugs go; 2 on the Hayward pump and one on the Polaris pump. But I can't seem to find where the o-rings belong??
My equipment is as follows: Hayward Super Pump w/ D.E. Filter (EC-65) and a Polaris Booster Pump. I'll try to post a picture below (still new here).

What is the diameter of the O-rings?

Both are 1/2" inch.

I thought if they were about 2 " they might be for the PVC unions.

But as to where the 1/2" ones go, I am at a loss.

So unless someone else can tell where they go, the next question becomes,

" Is anything leaking? "

I believe they go on the plugs for the hayward pump.

I can't seem to locate a manual for my pump online (Hayward model # sp1607 z) but after looking at manuals for similiar pumps, it doesn't show any o-rings going on the 2 plugs.

Is the line from your booster pump to your return piping a quick disconnect? That looks like the only .5" line on the whole equipment pad.

Definitely not for the drain plugs on the pump, they are just plain old 1/4" screw in fittings.

My guess is the polaris booster pump was added in later, although i'm not sure it's a quick disconnect. I assume all three drain plugs can be just wrapped with teflon and screwed in.
