Hello all. We live in East TN, in the Smokies. This looks like a great forum, having looked around on it for the last hour or so.

We've been in the process the last few weekends of moving and reinstalling a 24' above ground pool our neighbors gave us. The pool came with a Hayward pump and sand filter system (Dream Line S190TSCP sand filter). From what my neighbor said, everything is in working order. We will be hooking up the pump and filter in the next day or so.

My first (likely of many) question is if anyone knows either whether I can get a replacement label for the control valve on top of the filter (that shows the various setting positions) or if someone has this same filter and could take a picture or let me know what the setting positions are? The label came off some time ago, as the pool has been unused for a few years.

I have looked on Hayward's site and several places on the net and can't find anything. Downloaded the manual and you'd think there would be a diagram there, but no. It indicates the various valve control functions, but no diagram to show which lever position does what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Tom

I can't help you with your filter question, but hopefully once your registration is complete and your post is moved out in the correct section of the forum, someone will see it who can help.

I just wondered if you have a new liner for your reinstall. Once a liner pool is drained, the the liner is usually shot and cannot be re-used.

Yes, we put a brand new liner in, along with a new bottom pad, foam cove blocks and wall foam. Not sure how critical all that is, but we're just trying to make the liner last as long as possible.

Never seen replacement labels sold -- but you could try calling Hayward and asking.

But . . . this will probably give you the info you want:

Found one at a pool supply dealer in town - about 7 bucks. It matches up with the diagram link PoolDoc posted. Thanks.
