Set Up the pool last weekend. took 27 hours to fill. Intex 15' by 48". Filled with city water.

Running pump here and there its a Krystal Clear 637R 1,000 GPH Cartridge filter.

PH of 7.5
Chlorine .5PPM ( I know not enough )

Using a HTH test kit from walmart.
Pool water is clean as far as i can tell see the floor not much debris in it. Running a cheap skimmer pulling leaves etc.

My question is what i should do to get the water clearer faster. You need anything else let me know.

Added 4 Gallons of Bleach already
Keep 4 1 inch cubes at all times
Shocked it once yesterday

Do you have a test kit? We recommend the Taylor K-2006 or 2006C which you can get through the link in my signature. (Won't be available locally.)

You need to try and keep the chlorine at shock level while you are trying to clear the water. In your pool which I calculate to be approximately 5000 gallons, one quart of 6% bleach will add 3ppm of chlorine and one quart of 8.25% bleach will add about 4ppm of chlorine to the water. Since it is a fresh fill with no CYA, you want to try and keep your chlorine level around 10ppm. Test it 2 or 3 times a day and each time, add enough bleach to get it back up to around 10ppm. Also, run your pump 24/7 while you are trying to clear it and clean your filter as needed.

Hope this helps.
