I had my liner harpooned during sandy and my replacement is due any day. The pool is 16'x36' inground with an 8' deep end so I guess around 36,000 gal, the tap water used to fill the pool has a PH of 7.3 and a TA of 40. I tried the BBB method and followed the advice I was given on this site and it worked well for me. This time I went for the all black liner I know about the depth perception problem is there anything else to look out for? Anything to do/add during filling? I assume everything in the BBB method will be the same .Also I want an automatic vacum from my skimmer what do you think of these and what about the $100 ebay ones? Last question(for now) with a black liner should the solar cover be on or off(day time) when the pool is not being used and what color is best for a solar cover? Thank you

Be sure to add bleach while filling - you wouldn't want to start with a swamp.
After it's full you may want to bring up your TA a little with baking soda. The pH will come up a little with the baking soda and the bleach will raise it a little too.
All black - sounds dramatic. It might bleach more easily than light colors and light spots will stand out more - be sure to mix the chlorine well.
Don't know about the auto vacs.
A clear cover might let you catch more light in the liner - I like blue - it just looks right for the pool.
