We just purchased our current home last June and the diving board base is completely rusted through. The board seems to be in good condition. From what I can tell its a Baja style base with the dual springs about 1-2 ft in front of the circular steel base. I would like to do the repair myself (as long as I can get the nuts off the bolts without cutting them). The house was built in 1999 and I'm pretty sure the pool was put in at the same time. Is this doable or should a buy a whole new diving board kit and have a professional remove the old one and install the new one?

Welcome to The Forum!!

The first thing to do is see if you can get the nuts off the bolts. (to make it easier, remove the diving board first - it sucks to pull the last bolt and have the board drop into the deep end) ;)

As long as the existing bolts are in good shape, you can go on-line to find a matching base for your board.

If the bolts are bad or you can't find a matching base - there are other options.

I'm trying to keep this short, so ask if you need more info.

Happy swimming and diving this season!:D
