Had our pool nice and clear for a bit. Now it is crazy green.
Cya- 50ppm
PH- 8.0 or higher
ALK- 80 ppm
FC- 7.2 ppm
CC- .6ppm
Just vacuumed to waste this morning.
Could you please lead me in the right direction here. I've just added algaeicide. Lets hope it helps!
Thank you!!

What kind of algecide?
How have you been chloinating?
Did the FC get real low for a while?
What's your (do you have a) plan for reducing the pH?

We used- Swimmers Advantage Algaecide 30 plus.
We were using bleach for chlorination. Just purchased some liquid chlorine today.
We had a nasty rain storm this past weekend....thats when it all started. So my F- chlorine may have been a bit low.
No plan of action on the PH at the moment. Suggestions for this?

Swimmers Advantage Algaecide 30 plus is polyquat 30% - polyquat 60% is usually recommended here but you've avoided the stuff that foams or adds copper - Good! Trouble is that polyquat is better at preventing algea than killing it.
You pretty clearly have an algae battle on your hands. The plan for cleaning up an algea bloom is to shock the pool. To shock the pool:
Raise and keep the FC above shock level until for one day after:
The pool is clear
It loses less than 1 ppm of FC from sundown to sunup
There is nearly no CC (one drop or less)
Run the filter 24/7 - cleaning as necessary.
Brush the pool daily.
Test and add chlorine as often as poosible - at least twice a day.
Find the recommended shock level for the pool's measued CYA in Ben's Best Guess Chart (http://www.poolforum.com/pf2/showthread.php?10656-Best-Guess-Chlorine-Chart).
This can take a while but keep at it - letting the FC slide below shock level is a giant step backward.
Good luck, you can do it!

Oh yea, pH.
Muriatic Acid lowers pH with the least side effects. Please read and understand Using Muriatic Acid to Safely Lower Your Pool's pH (http://www.poolforum.com/pf2/showthread.php?13111-Using-Muriatic-Acid-to-Safely-Lower-Your-Pool-s-pH). It would be best to lower the pH before starting the shock process as shock level FC can yeild falsely high pH readings.

Great! Thank you!! I'll keep after it! And let you know how it's going :)
