Brought my water level up. Let it pump run for a day. Tested Ak (first step I think) And it came out pretty high 120 ppm. Do I need to get it down to the 10 ppm range before I begin adding Chlorine?? (pool is a dark green)

Also I may have jumped the gun a little starting it up. Calling for 29 deg F over the weekend. I figure as long as I keep the water moving in the cold my pump should be OK as long as its not an extended temp drop. Will this temp drop effect what I am doing with start up??

Thanks in advance. After all the great advice last year. Consider me a lifelong member of this site.

assuming "Ak" = alkalinity (Alk), then 120 is not high, and adding bleach is perfectly OK. . .

haha thanks I tried to edit with the proper abbreviation but I guess my post still need approved. Been moving forward light aqua green now. Will the cold weather effect it in any way?
