Well after 2 great years with BBB I slacked in Sept put solar cover on and forgot about it. We had a hurricane and some wind/rain storms. Got a large rip in solar cover. Decided to remove the cover..trash...and get the winter cover out. I tried to keep all the junk on top of the cover out of the pool but it got in and pool is green and barely see the bottom. Add 2 gals liquid shock and 1 gall bleach ran pump. Skimmed all leaves. Should I just let it go and drain refill in the spring. I do have a well.

Thanks for all input. 10,000 gal above ground pool.

If you're filling from a well, and have metals in the well water, then I would do whatever possible to clean up the water you already have so you don't have to drain/refill. If metals isn't a problem, and you are able to drain and immediately refill, then it might be worth it to go ahead and get the pool closed so you don't risk any of your equipment to freezing. Your call....but if you don't plan to drain/refill in the spring, then you really need to get it cleaned up before you close.
