I have an Aqualink RS with a Laars LX400 heater ~ 7 years old. Spa temp set for 104. Turned the sysem on and it heated to 94 and stayed there. Temp sensor seemed to work correctly., to test I disconnected the water temp sensor so it measured air temp, which it did acccurately. I expected the heater to just keep running but it got to 98 and cycled there and wouldn't go higher.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
Unfortunately, most folks have shut their pools down for the winter, so forum traffic has slowed way down--I don't know how long you might go before you get any helpful replies. Have you tried calling the customer service number in the manual for your unit?
