I have a Pentair 340063 pump, new this year. I figured this would not be the most complex part of closing the pool, but there you go.

It's plugged into a timer and upon dismantling the face of the timer, the pump doesn't have a finished 3 prong outlet, but rather bare wires that, internally to the timer, are hooked up with wire twists, so I don't want to do it there.

I undid the plastic washer where the cable actually enters the pump housing, but didn't see an obvious way to deal with it.

I am in NY and wanted to take the entire contraption and filter head indoor so no worrying about freezing with those.

Thanks1

Can't you disconnect it at the wire twist ?Yep! Despite fancying my intellect at times I also know other times I have the mental capacity of a cat. On a whim I asked my father in law to check it out and he had it disconnected right away. I think I was missing the necessity of the twisting action :)
