We have a two year old Intex 12x24 oval AG. The top surfaces of the ring have turned brown and this evening it cracked open. We are probably on the verge of a collapse. One thought we had is to use some type of expanding foam in it. It would take alot of it. What can I use to recondition the vinyl? Last winter we left it up and it appeared to work out OK. I had planned on closing it this weekend. It is a salt pool and we rarely have to do much to it. I live in Mid-Michigan

I don't have any ideas for you, but just wanted to let you know your post is being read, and hopefully some of the folks that have good info will chime in shortly.

I just patched the obvious split with a piece of vinyl and some 100% silicone. I did read elsewhere that some people have stuffed their ring with pool noodles. Interesting idea, if I could find them for about a buck apiece. I just went to the Intex site and there is no mention of conditioning the vinyl, should I have known about this?? My wife is looking for a warranty, I haven't found one yet.
