One of the beneficial things i have learned from pool Forum this year is a more judicious use of pool chemicals. I have a 30K gal pool and will shut it down this weekend. What PF members or pooldoc recommend to keep the pool more or less in goid shape over a northern VA winter?

I just use chlorine and Polyquat and I'm in NJ. But I lived in NoVA for 10 years and while the winters are a little milder than they are here, they aren't much milder.

If you haven't already done so, read the closing 'stickies' at the top of the pool startup and shutdown section of the forum.

Welcome to the Pool Forum by the way!
