Waiting time between chemical applications

Hi,

I was wondering how long I have to wait between applications of different chemicals to the pool?

In other words, if I add muriatic acid (or PH Down), how long afterward can I add bleach (or vice versa).

The only chemicals I have been using are bleach, borax, baking soda, muriatic acid and sometimes trichlor shock.

And how long after adding chemicals should people wait to go swimming?

I'd think that if you let the pool circulate for an hour between each you should be fine... Could probably get by with even shorter time span but I typically wait an hour.

If you'll add bleach or muriatic acid where the water returns to the pool AND while the pump is on, 15 minutes should be plenty.

I've never used trichlor shock, so I'm not sure how fast it dissolves. Are you confusing dichlor and trichlor shock?
