Yes, I know. I will be going to BBB after all tabs are gone. I just hate buying something and not using it. LOL

Anyway, does anyone know if Leslie's Pool Supplies tri-chlo tabs have impurities in them that leave a "dirt" looking substance on the pool bottom? Also, I just cleaned the surface with the net, then ran the manual vacuum, and noticed lots of very small black "things" floating while vacuuming. I am thinking it is impurities from tabs. Anyone else?

Thanks
Jeff

I've used the trichlor tabs from Leslie's with no problem, and I don't notice anything unusual...

Shouldn't really have any impurities from any tabs really.

Thanks folks, I finally got in the water yesterday afternoon (only 82 bbrrrrrrr) and looked real close without my contacts. The little black items are BUGS of some sort. And most go right thru the leaf net. Guess I need a finer mesh net, and something to kill the bugs in the grass.

I usually get those bugs every year the beginning of the season - they do go awayon their own. At least mine did hee hee!

I haven't used one, but many on the forum use a skimmer 'sock' in the basket.
I'd get one of those and vac as normal...that'll prolly catch all the little bugs and other stuff usually missed. We're lucky...we get cottonwood tree fuzz alot and a screen works well too. I just cut a round piece and put it in the basket, so I can remove/clean while pump is running.

I have some of those socks for the skimmer. The little bugs I have float, so vacuuming won't bother them. They seem to be more abundant during the day. Probably seeking relief from 110 degrees in direct sun, and my pump runs at night. Skim them off at night, and their relatives show up the next day. The little buggars are beating me down. LOL Just gotta use the fine-mesh leaf net several times a day if we are in the pool.

Thanks folks,
jeff
