I have had the worst last 2 years EVER dealing with my pool. I live right next to a freeway that has had construction going on the last couple years & last summer had a heck of a time keeping my pool clean & ungreen. I finally figured out a way to vacuum the sand off the bottom & right out of the pool & that helped. but this year is even worse.. my pool has been GREEN I mean really green all summer, I load it with chemicals & everything & it gets worse! I have been sucking this super fine almost sludge off the bottom several times & then it clears up for a cple days & it comes right back. I am assuming its because of them tearing up the road out here & repaving etc all summer & that crap is floating right into my pool. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem & what they might have done? I am so upset I have spent over $500 on chemicals this summer & been able to swim like 10 days total. All my chemical numbers have been correct, same as every other year. I am ready to empty every last srop out & just power wash the whole thing out & refill it, but thats alot of work & they are still working on the road for a cple more years out here. Wondering if I should contact the road Dept & discuss this..
I have a 24' above ground, i do not have sand pump, its a tall filter hayward. my biggest issue is I have one with a fence built into the top of the pool walls so not easy to access around the entire pool from outside.
