Hello and thanks for making this possible.
I live near Atlanta, pool is basically in the woods. (Many large oaks, etc.)
I have an in-ground, Crecian (Roman...) 18x36 and I estimate 26,000 Gallons.
Pebble Tech, Tile, Brick Coping about 10 years old.
Sand Filter (I got rid of the cartridge because I kept letting it go sour...)
Zodiac Flo Pro (2") refitted with an Impower Marathon 3 speed auto switching
(Love that magnetic motor!)
3" tablets in an in-line chlorinator.
I use a Nitro Wall Climber because I HATE brushing.

I'm experimenting with Clorox and also Borax and Baking Soda.

I wanted to search clorox and try to get intelligent advice on how much to use for shocking.

Thanks!

The amount of chlorine needed to sanitize a pool as well as to 'shock' the water is intimately related to the concentration of cyanuric acid (CYA, stabilizer) in the water. In my signature line please click on Ben's Best Guess chart for a quick overview. May we also ask you to complete our Pool Chart (also in my signature) ?

Completing the Pool Chart Entry Form (http://goo.gl/cNPUO) will allow us to calculate some sample doses for you.

Pool Chart data added to your signature: note corrected gallons figure -- an 18x36 IG vinyl with a 3 - 9 depth is unlikely to exceed 22,000 gallons
