Inground 16x32 in Southern Ohio. Trying to beat the dreaded mustard algae. Things are looking pretty good now. Just now bleached the crap out of it again to get my FC back up to around 20ppm. These little guys are very resistant to chlorine!

Yes they are! Mustard algae is hard to eradicate. You really need a good test kit so you can test the high chlorine levels which will be needed to kill it. The kits you can buy locally usually only read chlorine levels up to 5ppm which isn't gonna do the job. The kit we recommend is the Taylor K2006 or 2006C which you can pick up through the test kit link in my signature below.

Also, please put your pool's information into our pool chart as that makes it easier for us to give you good advice.

Filled out the form. Pool looking good now, just some leftover cloudiness. I've read I still need to keep the chlorine high even after mustard algae is gone. What should my new normal be? I'm still up around 15ppm FC right now, afraid to let it go low.

Needed chlorine levels are based on your CYA level which you didn't report. Take a look at the Best Guess Chlorine Chart in my signature above for more info about the connection between the two.
