Hello,

Just bought an above ground pool. Now waiting for the permit from the town so we can have it installed. We have never had a pool before so we are very excited. I just hope we can get the permit soon so we can get everything squared away & enjoy our pool ASAP !!! It was 104 here today - certainly would have enjoyed having a pool !!! I'm sure I'll have lots of questions involved with our new adventure !!

How exciting! You're gonna love having a pool! While you wait, do your homework so when the pool is installed you'll be ready and know what to do. Do a lot of reading here on the forum and also on our sister website www.poolsolutions.com. Also, go ahead and get a good test kit ordered so it will be there when you need it. The one we recommend is the Taylor K-2006 or 2006C that you can get through the test kit page in my signature below.

One caution --- we find that many AG pool packages are sold with mismatched pumps and filters. What size of each are you getting?

Hi Watermom,

Thanks for the welcome and the advice !!
The filter we got is a Waterway Clearwater II 150 sq ft Cartridge Filter with a Waterway 1hp Horzintal Pump & Motor (For DE and Element Filters). I hope that will be Ok for the size pool we bought. The pool is a round Morada 24' x 52". And I'll make sure to get a good test kit !!!
