We have a 13k gallon i/g pool - pebble tek siding. The pool is 4 yrs old and we've had a Kreepy Krawly since day one. We were told last year that a K/K isn't the best for our environment - our problem is pine needles mainly. We were told the the K/K is primarly for sand/dirt problems. Any suggestions on which type of pool sweep we need? Thanks!

A booster-pump operated pressure cleaner like the Polaris 280 is a better option for your pool. If your Kreepy is installed into a dedicated suction line in the side of the pool, that line can be converted to a pressure line fairly easily. If you don't have a dedicated line your options are somewhat limited to suction-side cleaners like the Kreepy. You will also need an additional time clock to control the separate booster pump if you decide to go with the Polaris.

The link below is for a sction cleaner that doesn't clog as easily from the kind of debris you get in your pool, but any cleaner has a limit when dealing with large amounts of or large size debris.
