We bought a Hayward sharkvac online. It got here and I read the instructions and put it in the pool. It sunk down and I turned it on. Then I realized it said "INground Pool Cleaner" on the box. It was not specified on the website, I looked but never saw any indication. Can I use it in my pool? What is the difference
Thanks
John

Hey Johnnymac,

The main difference is that in ground robots are meant to climb the walls of your pool to help keep the waterline clean. I think this would cause alot of stress to the walls of an above ground pool, and perhaps cause damage to them. While I'm not familiar with your particular cleaner, if it has a setting that allows it to clean the floor only, it may be okay. Personally I would try to return it for a model specifically designed for an above ground pool.
