I have a 12' Intex Easy Set Pool and trying to locate an alternative to the standard skimmer that comes with these pools. The Poolskim seems difficult to purchase and has to be modified to fit Intex pools. Any suggestions?

The floaty - ring skimmer is probably the only one you'll find to work with your easy-set pool. It's a real PITA to get it set "just right" but will do the job once it's set up. I know, I lived with one for several years. Just get it set so the blue ring / cylinder floats free and doesn't get hung up on the sides or basket.
