After a very warm winter, we were surprised that our pool opened pretty clear (lucky us.) Here are the results (and I know I need to add more chlorine...)
29000 gal plaster pool, sand filter, inground

CYA = 35
TC & FC = .2
pH = 7.5
TA = 86
Adj. TA = 75
Hardness = 265

I think with the exception of the chlorine, the other results may be good, but I need to be sure. Pool store is saying the TA needs adjusting.

Thanks for your help.

I think i would bump the TA up some with some baking soda. You may also want to increase the CYA a little to around 50ppm if you find that you are having trouble keeping a chlorine reading through a hot sunny day.

Thanks Watermom! Will do that - for some reason the pool store wanted me to add lots of stabilizer and "Burn Out". I'll go with the CYA and baking soda..

Actually, stabilizer is CYA, so they were right about that, but just don't add LOTS of it! Probably about 3 lbs. of granular cyanuric (or isocyanuric) acid should be about right.
