Shifty

I am thinking of getting either a pressure or robotic cleaner at some point. The previous owner of the pool had a Polaris Booster Bump installed with the plumbing when the pool was built. Therefore, I am thinking I should take advantage of having the booster pump.
I understand the pressure cleaners are hooked up to the returns. How are they hooked up? My returns look like pvc pipe. The returns are flush in the wall and not capable of adjusting the direction of the water. The inside of the returns are smooth so how would a pressure cleaner be hooked up without constantly having the connection dislodged? Is there some sort of attachment that can be inserted in the returns so that a pressure cleaner could be screwed in?
