I have a Pentair ThermalFlo Heat Pump 900. The manual tells me to push the up or down arrows once to show the current temperature setting. When I do this it changes the setting. The only way I can see what the Heat Pump is set on is to press the pool button once and it will flash the setting for a few seconds then go back to the current temperature. I called Pentair and they told me they didn’t know why the up or down arrows don’t show the current setting but not to worry about it since it seems to work fine. Has anyone noticed this? Please help!
Thank you!

Sorry - this is totally unrelated to your question, but how much does it add to your electric bill to run a heat pump? I just had a solar sales person out and he said around $100/mo for 13,500 gal pool without using a solar heater to add about 7 degrees per day.

This past weekend was this first time using it. I sure hope it wont cost me 100.00 a month. I'm in Florida so I hope after a few weeks I wont have to use it at all. I do know it only took 4 to 5 hours on Saturday to warm up my 12,400 gal pool and the next day (Sunday) when I turned it back on it took maybe only one hour. (May I ask who is your Pool Builder?)

I have a Raypac heatpump. I have not used it during a cold season yet but the salesman and my friend (who has one) both said it runs about $1 a day in the spring and fall, and $2 a day in the winter to maintain 80 degrees. I figured that in those cooler months I won't be using the AC so the cost of the heatpump will just about offset the savings. I did use the heatpump in April when my new pool opened but the water temp was already hitting 80 degrees in the afternoon so it didn't get much use.
Good luck.
