Poolrite Skimmer/ Basket

I have an in ground fiberglass pool with a Poolrite Skimmer. I need a replacement basket and can only find Australian based suppliers, therefore the shipping charges are astronomical. Does anybody know where I can purchase replacement parts in the United States or is there a generic basket that will work?

Have you tried taking the old basket into your local mom n' pop pool store? You might be surprised at the selection some of those places carry....

I have...no luck. The measurements are unusual 9" at the top, 8" long, 6 1/2" at the bottom.

I had that problem one time, couldn't find a skimmer basket to replace the one that was broken. Just had to buy the one that came the closest to fitting it. I just had to wrap some black electrical tape around the rim to make it sit down better in the skimmer. Wasn't pretty, but..... who cares? It was a skimmer basket. Yes...I think that is where we are at...going to have to rig something up. So glad I found this forum. :)
