I am having some trouble dealing with a whole bunch of dirt and mud that had been blown into the pool by the tornado and repeated thunderstorms that swept Western PA the other week.
At first I could not see all the way to deep end of the pool, about 8ft. So I swept the pool and vacuumed several times and have seen a great improvement. I can now see all the way to the bottom. Also I have left the filter run 24/7 for the last 5 days. I can tell the filter is getting most of the junk because I've had to backwash twice.
But, the water is not as clear as it was before. Just wanted to know when it's ok to use more drastic measures? Though about adding some DE to the sand filter or maybe using a skimmer sock. When is it ok to use clarifier or a "floc" treatment?
Thanks
