Would like to say hello to everyone . WE are getting ready to buy 27x52 doughboy AGP. And put it at the end of a deck that is already built . BUT i have a power line on one side and there is septic tank line some where on the other side. I know you don't won't the power line over the pool .But if i could stay two or three feet off the side of the power line do y'all think it would be OK

You included your address with your registration, so I looked your location up on Google Maps. You aren't exactly living in the middle of the big city, are you? And, you are talking about a combined 220V drop from the transformer to the house, right? And not a single (or triple) transmission line that is PRE-transformer and 4.5KV or higher, right?

OK, I'm going to tell you what I personally would do -- but since when you mix electricity and pools, you kill people, I am NOT going to make any recommendations, at all to you personally. Understand?

If I had a metal wall AG pool, and needed to install it under a 3 wire (2 hot wires carrying 220V + a common or ground) twisted drop, I wouldn't worry too much so long as the TOP of the pool was at least 10' away from the power drop. I would probably buy a FIBERGLASS vacuum pool, however, so someone wouldn't get fried by accident when they were cleaning the pool.

On the other had, I would NOT install a metal wall AG pool near a high voltage (pre-transform) transmission line.

Now, that's what I'd do. But, if I had a friend with the local utility, I might ask him for his opinion, as well.

But, what YOU do -- that's up to you.
