Yesterday I setup a new 8'x30" pool . After setup I added 1.9 cups of bleach and .4 cup of borax per site calculator using 627 gallons. I ran the filter last night (600 gph) and today CL was bit above 5 and ph was higher than ideal too but off since my CL was above 5. I then added 2.4 oz of stabilizer from walmart (direction said 1 lb for 4,000 gallons) using sock method. In a few days I plan on checking the CYA. I would like expert to chime in on what I should do next.
thanks
jason

Welcome to the Pool Forum!

It's much easier to answer your questions, when we know something about your pool. We often 'waste' the first few posts back and forth collecting information. So, please complete our new Pool Chart form -- it takes about 30 seconds, but will save much more than that.

Go swimming

Keep your chlorine level right for your stabilizer level (see best guess chlorine chart linked in my sig), and drop the pH to 7.0-7.8 range when your chlorine comes back down, and you should be in good shape.
