What materials are best to go around the edge of an above ground pool to prevent mud from splattering on the sides but still allow for adequate water drainage away from the pool & liner? Thx.

I am in the process of doing that now. I will be putting dirt to about 2" above the bottom track slightly sloping away from the pool, then cover the dirt with landscape fabric and put about 2" of gravel on top. The fabric will keep weeds from popping up. I got some landscape edging at Lowe's made of recycled material and I will use that to separate the gravel area from the rest of the lawn. At the lawn edge, I plan to dig down about 2" sloping up toward the pool so that the gravel will be about even with the lawn at the edging.

pea rock or other non-acidic rock materials work well. Landscaping fabric underneath, edged.
