I have a Leak in my above ground pool.
I am 100% sure there is a leak in the liner of the pool. I am losing about 1 inch plus a day. there Filter system has 0 leaks in it. i am having all sorts of trouble trying to find this Leak.
Any advice would be helpful. I was in the pool a few times trying to find this pesky leak. Tried Food Coloring and pool dye. I just bought my house and the pool was already there. there do appear to be a few patches already in the liner of the pool. I tried around those spots but cant seem to find anything. I did find a Crater by one of the posts and also tried there but no dice.
Please help!

I feel your pain. Unless there is enough hydro-static pressure, the dye test wont work. I have been trying to find a leak for two years with dye. I just placed an 18"x10" patch to where I "think" my problem is, Ill wait and see.

Perhaps let your pool leak until it stops, the leak should be slightly below the waterline.

There is a post from a menber, Poconos maybe, that speaks of a procedure using a garden sprayer and dye. Any movement will mess up the dye, I believe mine is on the wall within 12" from the top. I am able to dye test from outside the pool but still cant find it.

Good luck

I don't recall that post, and I don't know an easy way to find a slow leak in the bottom of a liner pool . . . BUT, if you use the search link in my signature, and search for things like "vinyl leak test", you're likely to come up with what's been posted here on the topic.

I'm going to email Poconos and see if he knows about this procedure and can share some information.
