white-yellowish little dots on the side of the pool

I'm not sure what it is and exactly how to attack it! Does anyone have any suggestions on what this might be?

It would probably be helpful to see a picture of it. Send a picture to poolforum@gmail.com and reference the URL of this thread.

Also, tell us what type of pool you have, the volume, what kind of filter and size of pump and what type of test kit you have. Lastly, tell us exactly what all you have added to the pool, meaning ingredients and not product names.
