I have an inground pool that has a settling (foundation) problem. One side is slightly lower...which my skimmers are not the same level.

My questions is....I will be away for 9 days. I do not have anyone to check up on my pool. It is already in the 90's. I am worried that is will not rain during that time.

What shall I do? Should I close the skimmers and leave ONLY the main drain so I don't have to worry about the water level/air into my filter.

Should I only close the one skimmer that is slightly (higher)?

Also, should I shock it real good before I leave??

What are some tips about people being on vacation?

I'll let someone else answer your questions about your drains and skimmers. But, in regards to your chemistry questions, repost about that part in the chemistry section of the forum instead of here in the equipment section. When you do, include a complete set of current water testing results taken with a drops-based kit and then somebody will be better able to advise you. Include the volume of your pool in your post. Also, use the google search in my signature below to look for other threads where people have discussed how to manage their pools while on vacation.
