I am going to throw a slowball at you all.

Since I just went from being (in my mind) the smartest pool guy, based off of a week of research and youtube videos. To almost completely starting over on my pool education because of this site. I am going to quit making assumptions and just ask.

The used pool I bought had been run with Baquacil. When I move it I will replace the liner and sand media from the filter.

Will this be considered a conversion to Chlorine or just a new pool start up with Chlorine? Is the amount of residual Baquacil in the hoses, skimmer box, and empty pump/fiilter significant?

Thanks in advance.

Bryan

If you've replaced the sand, there's no conversion - just start it up with chlorine.

On a side note, it's interesting how few questions we get about PHMB products these days. It appears to be a dying product line. (And, good riddance!)

You're not kidding! We used to spend hours every summer coaching people through their 'Baquagoop' conversions!
