Hi,
I am new to the forum and would like to know more about the bbb method. I have a 18,000 above ground pool with a vinyl liner. I just recently corrected my high alkalinity with the ratchet down and aerate method(awesome). But I am a little unsure of how much bleach to add and when. I also am not sure about what to use for the stabilizer using the bbb method. my ta is 100, ph 7.2 and my chlorine is nil when I checked last night. I have become pretty familiar with the ta and ph and have a good handle on that but the bleach and the cya is a little confusing right now.

If you have no chlorine in there it is an open invitation to algae! Get some bleach in there ASAP! In your pool, each quart of plain, unscented 6% bleach will add about 0.8ppm of chlorine. Do you know your CYA reading? You need to know that to know what chlorine levels you need in your pool.
