Hello,

Can someone please help me in wiring up my GL-235 so that the bypass feature will work in freezing weather.

This is the wiring diagram for the GL-235 controller

See page 7 figure 3 for Goldline GL-235 wiring diagram
http://www.sunvoltenergy.net/BodyPages/Other/GL-235%20Installation%20Manual.pdf

On the GL 235 there are 6 poles

#1 - Ground | #2 - 240 line 1 | #3 - 240 Line 2 | #4 - 120 Line | #5 - To filter (left side of timer) | #6 - to filter (right side) of timer

T104
Poles 1 and 3 are 240 source and poles 2 and 4 go to pump motor.

I can figure out power - connect t104 pole 1 to pole 2 on GL-235 and pole 3 to pole 3 on GL 235.

I don't understand how to wire up poles 5 and 6 on the GL-235 to the T104 controller so that it can auto start pump when it detects freezing weather.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You

The answer to your question is -- as a matter of policy -- No!

The reason is simple: electricity and pools mix fatally, in the event of a mistake. We sometimes answer questions about equipment but I do NOT allow answers to "how can I wire this . . . ?", except in general terms. Again, as a matter of policy, my position is, if you have to ask, you shouldn't be doing the wiring.

This is not a theoretical danger. I've twice been nearly killed myself, by amateur pool wiring. One of the 'amateurs' was a Southern Railways signals engineer! And once, we nearly killed a life guard with a pool vacuum WE built, when the guard did something stupid (which we should have anticipated!) and the GFCI failed 'ON' rather than 'OFF'.

Sorry. Thread chlosed.
