As the title states when I went to remove the rubber plug from the skimmer and it actually fell down into the line. Looks like the guy that did our closing used one that was too small since I didn't have this issue with the other skimmer. The question is how do I get it out? I was thinking the pump would pull it through the tube and it may wind up in the skimmer by the pump but my only concern is if it would make it by the valve (not sure if that section has any restrictions) Or do I hook up an air compressor and try to blow it back up the skimmer tube? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would STRONGLY suggest trying to get it back out the way it got in. You may fail, but at least you know that is possible. Depending on the type of plug, and the piping between your skimmer and your pump it may NOT be possible for it to reach the pump.

What you might want to try, instead of a compressor, is taking the flow from your pump (if you have a main drain) and reversing it and running full water flow through the skimmer, backwards.

Good luck!

I do have a main drain, but how do I reverse the flow?
